Review:
"....BEST TRIP EVER...... SUCH A GREAT GROUP!!!!" SOLD OUT and Capped our numbers in less than 2 weeks so we could book the most quaint hotel on the Canal in Amsterdam that normally doesn't do large group bookings! :) |
Suzie Prakash's Write-up of her Experience:
"Put on your walking shoes and let’s hit the streets! Sketching, painting and drawing along the canals, roadsides, and countryside villages of Amsterdam - what an amazing time! That was Christina Thoen's instruction on site, and her Masterpiece Tour of "Meeting of Van Gogh" that ignited a thrill for art lovers. For two weeks, fourteen artist friends joined together to engage in what most people could only dream about. With a tight schedule of events and activities, Christina led the way for an amateur artist's trip of a lifetime, in providing on site instruction and production. Art stools, a bench sidewalk, or cafe chair, women created art from their surroundings - a challenging rewarding experience. Rain, wind, sun and the like, didn't stop this tight knit group from accomplishing their goals. Whether it be sketching people, bikes, boats or wind mills, nature and real life have a lot to offer in enhancing one's creative thirst - and lifting the mind to a happy place. Some gals were beginners in drawing and painting, and others were experienced, but like a fingerprint we all created our own unique interpretations. When you draw what you see, and review it later on, the memory of recall is more vivid than you could have ever imagined! And by the way, it's time for new shoes, the Amsterdam ones are worn out! Can't wait to go again! "
