I was part of the 1st Annual Urban Art Tour in downtown Prince Albert. Artists were matched with businesses to set up some artwork and work in their spaces during the day while open to the public to come and check it out. I ended up at the CIBC which was quite different to work there as many clients were in line to do their banking. It was super fun and there was a lot of interest. The best part of the day was a man coming up to me with tears in his eyes saying how much my artwork touched his soul and then having a spontaneous hug. <3 |

I was invited as a Celebrity Author in town to read out of my book and inspired young minds for Family Literacy Day. What a fun time talking to the Grade 3 and 4's about the importance of reading, showing them all the prints of my artwork that are in the book and doing a reading out of my book for them!

My new book "Life... Create Your Own Masterpiece," was launched this month and Josef Jacobson at the Rural Roots did a great job of the article he wrote that was published, talking about how life really is a work of art. My book has over 20 original images of my artwork in it and the response has been amazing, with the best compliment being a friend who read the whole book in her tub! :) |

I would love to know who nominated me and thank them... and also a huge thanks to the people who voted for me. I'm so in aww as Prince Albert really has a lot of artists and many amazing ones. Feeling blessed. :)

Prairies North Magazine did a survey and my Gallery was chosen as one of The Best places to buy art in Saskatchewan! Thanks everyone so much for your support! I am honoured and along with over 25 years of selling my artwork, this is certainly cause for a celebration! Buyers of my artwork, be on the lookout for your special invitation to see my new personal studio! :)

Daily Herald Newspaper in Prince Albert writes an editorial on a painting that Christina Thoen and 11 of her adult art students donated to the City. Each student painted their square without seeing anyone else's and the results show the amazing differences in how each person sees colour and how their style is always unique. This painting hangs at City Hall.
