Morning Glory

* Each morning 1st thing I drink  lemon water (great "kick-start" for your body)
* Then I do 20 mins of TM (Transcendental Meditation).  During Indigo month,  we will learn more about meditation.   For now, a guided one is on each colour  month's  page!
(even 2 minutes of  just  watching & listening to your breath come in and out is powerful!)
* Right after -  I say my Gratitude prayers to God and send Love vibes out to those I love and the world - - then I start my Mind/Body/ Connection Exercises below... :)
​MIND/BODY/SOUL CONNECTION - to set your day up STRONG!

AGAIN...... SUPER important to know that you are taking baby steps... integrate into your life and daily habits what works for you and  feel good about that - and don't worry about what you "don't" get done...  This program is not about that -- DON'T ever forget that ANYTHING above doing your Daily 8s and your Weekly weeding is BONUS!!!  It takes time to make change - feel good about EACH baby step!!   :)

​(3 mins)  SUPER BRAIN YOGA -(great for mental strength/clarity/focus - using movements, breathing, and acupressure points)

(5 mins) BODY ENERGY & AFFIRMATION WORK:  (great for changing your energy - uses similar principles as in EFT - read more about EFT in the Weeky Weeding )

​Crown pull,                                                    (release excess mental stress, can relieve headache, for mental strength/clarity/ clears cobwebs in mind)
then tapping on cheek bone,              (for stress, helps us adapt and go with the flow, grounds your energy, helps body find it's natural rhythm)
K27,                                                                   (for alertness & energy, gets energies flowing and jumpstarts your energy system)
Thymus,                                                           (is for overall health, overrides self-sabatoge, helps immune system, controls life energy of body)
spleen                                                               (removes toxins, helps assimilate change in your life, remove toxins, fights infection, metabolizes food)
​(Activating the above acupressure points on the meridians creates real change - they can be used anytime during the day as needed!! )
Left to Right Energy Work – twisted arms/legs, cross crawl & end with Hugging Self  – let arms drag across front of body

Tree Pose I AM statements:  (hold each for 17 seconds)
Hands on head saying “I am hopeful, I am positive & I am patient”  
Hands on heart saying, “I am loving, I am forgiving, & I am caring”   
Hands on the gut area saying, “I am faithful, I am trusting and I am thankful”  

***You can choose different ways of doing the above:  like in the video, or above, or choosing only one statement for each position and holding for 17 secs (and then changing them up as you concentrate more on the ones you feel you need.)  Do what feels right for you!!

​ *******Always breath in through nose, and out through your mouth.  Deep breaths as you begin each new step.

(8 mins minimum!)​ YOGA POSES – to activate each colour centre  -  I hold each pose for about 30 seconds and say Daily 8 affirmations that coincide with each colour (you can do them all or add each pose and affirmation as you learn them each month).
​
* Notice the pose Shavasana (laying flat) is included, a Daily Have To for 8 minutes  (even if you do only this yoga pose - DO IT!) 
(for many this will be the closest thing to meditation if you don't have that in your daily practice - so NB!)

(I add extra yoga poses and affirmations in-between to spark up each colour frequency  --- but baby steps - I've added these in for 2nd year and over students)

​(20 mins minimum) BODY EXERCISES:  (Really important - to be healthy, your body needs to move & oxygen pumping through your cells)
​You can do ANY exercise that you love - whenever/whatever  works for you!!...   I often do my exercises 1st as it's not my favourite... ;)
​Adding exercise into my Morning Glory so that it's done and I don't have to schedule around it later works best for me  -  I run either up and down the stairs (or on the spot depending on where I am) for a few minutes.  Then I do the Scientific 7 minute Workout (30 repetitions or 30 secs of each exercise).  I love that I can do it anywhere as long as there's a chair!   I do these 4-5 days/week and take weekends off!! :)

**This 7-minute workout can be done 3 times in a row (so 21 minutes).  I'm still working towards doing that!! ;)

​After the 7-minute workout - when I'm at home, I bounce on a small trampoline with 1 kg arm weights (repetitions with all different leg/arm movements).     Exercise on a  small trampoline is  fun and it has been proven to be a great way to exercise....
(I'll add my sequence another day for anyone interested in that!)

​"Rebound Exercise is the most efficient, effective form of exercise yet devised by man.” A. Carter summarized a NASA study in 1979, a study which NASA published in 1980 in the Journal of Applied Physiology.    Also a study by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) found  that "bouncing on a mini trampoline for less than 20 minutes is just as good for you as running, but feels better and is a lot more more fun."

(3 mins) DANCE & SING THIS MONTH's THEME SONG!   I end my Morning Glory and start the rest of my day with this month’s Theme Song (link is on bottom right hand corner of month's page) - dance and sing to start your Good Vibes and rhythm for the day !!  :)
FUN FACT:  Starting your day with "rhythm" is important because it creates the rhythm for the rest of your great day!!  
We ALL know that feeling of being "out of sync" and it's not fun... xo
