MORNING GLORY
3 Wise Wakeups
Starting your morning off right is your key to having a great day... This morning ritual sets the tone for your great day!
You can personalize your morning ritual to prioritize your needs based on how much time you have and what resonates with you and your body. Everyone may not be able to do all of these practices every morning. Most mornings I do ALL of these & it takes about an hour - but I've also got a condensed 30 minute version too for when I'm pinched for time!

Thirst & Thanks
THIRST - DRINK WARM LEMON WATER:
Total time: 5 - 15 mins.
It’s a great way to "kick-start" your body - and it's part of your Daily 8's!
Also feel free to add in a little sea salt to help replenish your body with some essential minerals it may be lacking. Also baking soda can be added if you find the lemon a bit tart or want less acidity on your teeth enamel.
THANKS:
During these first few moments of each day and while you're drinking your lemon water is a great time to think about all of the things that you are Thankful for - and the people in your life that you are Thankful for and journal about them too & also take a little more time for any other types of journalling you want to do - writing out your Dreams, Aspirations, etc... .
Also this is a great time to text a message - a positive loving compliment to someone! This is a Powerful daily routine & great morning ritual to create deeper connections to those that you know and those that you love...

Lemons are packed with nutrients, including vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, and fiber. Because of how hard lemon juice can be on the enamel of your teeth, it’s important to dilute it with water of any temperature (though lukewarm is recommended). Drink it first thing in the morning, and wait 15 to 30 minutes to have breakfast. This will help you fully receive the benefits of lemon water listed below:
Reduces inflammation
If you drink lemon water on a regular basis, it will decrease the acidity in your body, which is where disease states occur. It removes uric acid in your joints, which is one of the main causes of inflammation.Aids digestion
Lemon juice not only encourages healthy digestion by loosening toxins in your digestive tract, it helps to relieve symptoms of indigestion such as heartburn, burping, and bloating.Helps you lose weight
Lemons contain pectin fiber, which assists in fighting hunger cravings.Cleanses your system
It helps flush out the toxins in your body by enhancing enzyme function, stimulating your liver.Keeps your skin blemish-free
The antioxidants in lemon juice help to not only decrease blemishes, but wrinkles too! It can also be applied to scars and age spots to reduce their appearance, and because it’s detoxifying your blood, it will maintain your skin’s radiance.Gives your immune system a boost
Vitamin C is like our immune system’s jumper cables, and lemon juice is full of it. The level of vitamin C in your system is one of the first things to plummet when you’re stressed, which is why experts recommended popping extra vitamin C during especially stressful days.Excellent source of potassium
As already mentioned, lemons are high in potassium, which is good for heart health, as well as brain and nerve function.Freshens your breath
It also helps relieve toothaches and gingivitis (say wha?). Because the citric acid can erode tooth enamel, either hold off on brushing your teeth after drinking lemon water or brush your teeth before drinking it.Gives you an energy boost
Lemon juice provides your body with energy when it enters your digestive tract, and it also helps reduce anxiety and depression. (Even the scent of lemons has a calming effect on your nervous system!)Helps fight viral infections
Warm lemon water is the most effective way to diminish viral infections and their subsequent sore throats. Plus, with the lemon juice also boosting your immune system, you’ll simultaneously fight off the infection completely.
How much?
For those who weigh less than 150 pounds, squeeze half a lemon’s worth of juice into a glass of water. If over 150 pounds, use an entire lemon’s juice. You can of course dilute the lemon juice more, depending on your personal taste. Not only are the benefits of lemon water endless, it’s one of the most substantial yet simple changes you can make for your health… so drink up!!

Being in a Thankful Vibe allows you to bring more great things to be thankful for to come into your life...
The word gratitude is derived from the Latin word gratia, which means grace, graciousness, or gratefulness. Gratitude is a thankful appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible. With gratitude, people acknowledge the goodness in their lives. In the process, people usually recognize that the source of that goodness lies at least partially outside themselves. As a result, being grateful also helps people connect to something larger than themselves as individuals — whether to other people, nature, or a higher power.
In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.
You become a "receiver" of happiness in the end because being in this "feeling" of gratitude allows more great things to be thankful for in your life - but also switches your brain out of the feelings of lack because your focus is not on that!
Sending the compliment text amplifies your feelings by keeping you in touch & taking note of the people in your life to be thankful for as well! Great Win-Win!!
So keep noticing all of the beautiful things & people to be grateful for! You'll be happy you did! :)
Journaling, or the practice of regularly writing down thoughts, feelings, experiences, and reflections, can be a powerful tool for personal growth, self-discovery, and well-being. In a book called "The Artist's Way," these are called the Morning Pages.
Here are several reasons why journaling can be beneficial:
Self-Reflection: Journaling provides an opportunity for self-reflection, introspection, and an opportunity to acknowledge what is great in their life. By putting thoughts and emotions into words, individuals can gain clarity about their experiences, beliefs, and values. This process of self-reflection can lead to greater self-awareness and understanding.

Journaling can serve as an emotional outlet, helping individuals cope with stress, anxiety, grief, or other challenging emotions. It provides a way to acknowledge and validate one's feelings, including expressing all of the happy feelings for all that they are thankful for in their life.
Problem Solving: Journaling can help individuals explore and work through personal challenges, conflicts, or dilemmas. Writing about problems or concerns can lead to insights, new perspectives, and potential solutions.

Memory and Learning: Journaling can improve memory retention and learning. Writing down thoughts, observations, and experiences helps reinforce neural connections and solidify memories.
Personal Growth and Development: Journaling supports personal growth and development by fostering self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion. It encourages individuals to explore their values, beliefs, strengths, and areas for growth. Over time, journaling can contribute to greater self-confidence, resilience, and a deeper sense of purpose.

Exercise & Affirmations
Total time: Approx 30 minutes
SCIENTIFIC WORKOUT
7 MINUTES - Really important - to be healthy, your body needs to move & have oxygen pumping through your cells. You can do ANY exercise that you love - whenever/whatever works for you!!
I love adding exercise into my Morning Glory so it's done and not having to schedule around it later in the day works best for me. I do the Scientific 7-minute Workout (30 repetitions or 30 secs of each exercise). I love that I can do it anywhere as long as there's a chair! I do these about 5 days/week! :)
This 7-minute workout can be done a few times in a row if you want - but I find even just once works great for me!
After the 7-minute workout - when I'm at home, I bounce on a small trampoline with 1 kg arm weights (repetitions with all different leg/arm movements). Exercise on a small trampoline is fun and it has been proven to be a great way to exercise...

Working out our bodies and exercising offers numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits:
Physical Health: Regular exercise helps improve cardiovascular health by strengthening the heart and improving circulation. It can also help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, reducing the risk of heart disease. Additionally, exercise contributes to weight management by burning calories and building muscle mass, which can help prevent obesity and related health conditions like diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
Strength and Flexibility: Exercise helps build strength, endurance, and flexibility in muscles and joints. This not only enhances physical performance but also reduces the risk of injuries and improves overall mobility and range of motion.
Mental Health: Physical activity has been shown to have a positive impact on mental health by reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. Exercise releases endorphins, neurotransmitters in the brain that promote feelings of happiness and well-being. Regular exercise can also improve sleep quality, boost self-esteem, and enhance cognitive function.
Bone Health: Weight-bearing exercises like walking, jogging, and resistance training help strengthen bones and reduce the risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures, especially as we age.
Longevity: Studies have consistently shown that regular physical activity is associated with a longer lifespan. Exercise promotes overall health and vitality, reducing the risk of chronic diseases and improving overall quality of life.
Brain Health: Exercise has been linked to improved cognitive function and a reduced risk of age-related cognitive decline. It enhances neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to form new connections and adapt to changes, which can help maintain cognitive function as we age.
Overall, incorporating regular physical activity into our daily routines is essential for maintaining optimal health and well-being, both physically and mentally.

"Rebound Exercise is the most efficient, effective form of exercise yet devised by man.” A. Carter summarized a NASA study in 1979, a study which NASA published in 1980 in the Journal of Applied Physiology. Also, a study by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) found that "bouncing on a mini trampoline is just as good for you as running, but feels better and is a lot more more fun."
SUPER BRAIN YOGA
3 minutes - Great for mental strength/clarity/focus - using movements, breathing, and acupressure points!

Super Brain Yoga is a practice that involves a simple exercise aimed at improving cognitive function and overall brain health. It is based on the concept that certain physical movements and postures can stimulate energy flow and enhance the functioning of the brain. Proponents claim several potential benefits:
Improved Cognitive Function: Enhances cognitive abilities such as memory, concentration, and mental clarity. By increasing blood flow and oxygenation to the brain, the practice may support optimal brain function.
Enhanced Brain Integration: Facilitates the integration of the left and right hemispheres of the brain, promoting balance and coherence between different brain regions. This integration is believed to improve communication within the brain and optimize neural pathways.
Stress Reduction: Induces a sense of relaxation and reduces stress levels. By calming the mind and body, the practice may contribute to overall mental well-being and emotional balance.
Energy Balance: The exercise helps balance the body's energy centers, known as chakras, leading to improved overall energy levels and vitality.
ENERGY SHIFT EXERCISE
4 MINUTES - Great for changing your energy, using similar principles as our Weekly EFT exercises!
-
Energy shifting is an incredible way of "tapping into" where the body needs the most help... The body contains subtle energy pathways, often referred to as meridians or energy channels, through which vital energy flows (Qi or Chi) and working with these creates energy balance, vitality & well-being. Donna Eden is known for her work in this area & some of this work is also based on the EFT principles that you learned in the Weekly Weeding.

-
Stress Reduction: Helps reduce stress and promotes relaxation by activating the body's relaxation response. The rhythmic tapping motion helps calm the nervous system and alleviate feelings of tension or anxiety.
Emotional Release: Helps release emotional distress and negative emotions. The cheekbones are believed to be associated with feelings of fear, anxiety, and overwhelm. By tapping on these points individuals experience emotional relief and a greater sense of calmness.
Head and Sinus Relief: Also has a physical effect on the head and sinuses. The tapping motion helps stimulate blood flow and lymphatic drainage in the facial area, potentially relieving tension, pressure, or discomfort associated with headaches, sinus congestion, or facial tension.
-
Emotional Release: The heart area is associated with emotions such as love, compassion, and empathy. Tapping around the heart is believed to help release emotional distress, negative feelings, and emotional blockages stored in this area. It promotes a sense of emotional relief, calmness, and inner peace.
Stress Reduction: Reduces stress and promotes relaxation by activating the body's relaxation response. The rhythmic tapping motion combined with deep breathing and focused attention helps calm the nervous system, lower cortisol levels (stress hormone), and alleviate feelings of tension or anxiety.
Energetic Balance: By tapping around the heart in circles, individuals may experience improved energy flow and a sense of emotional and energetic balance.
Self-Compassion and Self-Acceptance: Promotes self-love, self-acceptance, and emotional healing. It encourages individuals to cultivate a compassionate and loving relationship with themselves, fostering emotional resilience and a sense of inner worthiness.
-
Stimulation of Energy Pathways: Helps stimulate specific energy pathways or meridians that run through the legs.
Energy Activation: The slapping motion is believed to activate and invigorate the flow of energy along these meridians, promoting overall energy balance and vitality.
Energetic Clearing: Helps clear any stagnant or disrupted energy in the legs, restoring balance and vitality to the body's energy system.
Grounding and Centering: The legs are considered an important part of the body's foundation, providing stability and support. This helps ground and center the body, promoting a sense of stability, presence, and connection to the earth.
Physical Benefits: Beyond its energetic aspects, also the stimulation of blood flow and circulation in the legs can help relieve tension, reduce stiffness, and promote overall relaxation and well-being.
-
Pushing on the K27 points, also known as Kidney 27 or "Shu Mansion" points in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM):
Energy and Vitality: K27 points are considered to be important energy centers located just below the collarbone, on either side of the sternum (breastbone). Stimulating these points through gentle pressure is believed to invigorate the flow of Qi (vital energy) and promote overall vitality.
Respiratory Health: They are associated with the Kidney meridian, which in TCM is believed to govern the respiratory system. Pressing on these points may help improve breathing patterns, alleviate respiratory congestion, and support lung function.
Stress Relief: K27 points are connected to the Kidney system, which plays a role in managing stress and emotional balance. Applying pressure to these points is believed to help calm the mind, reduce anxiety, and promote a sense of relaxation.
Pain Management: Some practitioners of acupressure or acupuncture use the K27 points as part of a comprehensive approach to pain management. Stimulating these points may help alleviate discomfort in the chest, shoulders, neck, and upper back areas.
Energetic Balance: Applying pressure to the K27 points is believed to help regulate the flow of Qi and restore balance and harmony to the body's energy meridians.
-
Energetic Balance: Helps balance and harmonize the body's energy system. It is thought to activate specific meridian points associated with the spleen, supporting the spleen's function in TCM and promoting overall energy flow, vitality, and well-being.
Emotional Release: The spleen area is believed to be associated with emotions such as worry, overthinking, and anxiety. Tapping on this area helps release energetic blockages and individuals experience emotional relief and a greater sense of calmness.
Stress Reduction: Helps reduce stress and promotes relaxation by activating the body's relaxation response. The rhythmic tapping motion helps calm the nervous system, lower cortisol levels (stress hormone), and alleviate feelings of tension or anxiety.
Physical Benefits: Stimulates blood flow and lymphatic drainage in the spleen area and helps support the spleen's role in immune function, detoxification, and overall well-being.
-
Crossing the Midline: Crossing the opposite legs and intertwining the hands involves crossing the midline of the body. This cross-lateral movement is believed to stimulate communication between the left and right hemispheres of the brain, promoting integration and coordination of brain functions. It may enhance cognitive function, improve focus, and support learning and information processing.
Energy Flow: In energy-based healing modalities, such as energy medicine or yoga, specific body postures and movements are used to balance and harmonize the body's energy systems. The intertwined hands and crossed legs create a unique energy configuration that is believed to promote the flow of vital energy (Qi, Chi, or Prana) throughout the body. This movement may help clear energetic blockages, restore balance, and enhance overall vitality.
Mind-Body Connection: The intertwined hands and crossed legs create a physical and energetic connection between different parts of the body. This integrated movement encourages a heightened awareness of the mind-body connection, promoting mindfulness and presence in the moment. It may facilitate relaxation, stress reduction, and emotional well-being.
Balance and Stability: Crossing the opposite legs and intertwining the hands can also help improve balance and stability. This posture engages core muscles and promotes proprioception (awareness of body position), enhancing physical stability and grounding.
Mindful Movement: Moving the arms up and down while maintaining the intertwined hands and crossed legs encourages mindful movement and breath awareness. This synchronized movement with the breath fosters a sense of calmness, centeredness, and inner peace.
