Weekend Workshops

A quick overview to help you choose the right medium for your artistic journey…

Graphite (Pencil)
Basic first medium - drawing and working towards a finished piece of artwork

Charcoal
A good transition to explore blending capabilities without colour, but more messy - less easily controlled

Oil Pastel
Transition to color, however, more difficult to erase and get fine details, but excellent for blending

Colored Pencil
Another transition, requires a more controlled style - good for details, slow medium - need patience

India Ink & Watercolor Pans
Drawing is important - but painting skills are not needed - the Ink pulls it all together - excellent for traveling

Acrylic
The suggested first wet color painting medium, mistakes painted over easily & accommodates a variety of styles

Watercolor
The most advanced wet colored medium - some experience in other mediums is recommended
